Waiting on Wednesday (1)

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine. It's a weekly meme where you share with others the books you're eagerly waiting for their release.

My Pick:
But I love Him by Amanda Grace

" Tonight was so much worse than anything before it. Tonight he didn't stop after the first slap.

At the beginning of senior year, Ann was a smiling, straight-A student and track star with friends and a future. Then she met a haunted young man named Connor. Only she can heal his emotional scars; only he could make her feel so loved — and needed. Ann can't recall the pivotal moment it all changed, when she surrendered everything to be with him, but by graduation, her life has become a dangerous high wire act. Just one mistake could trigger Connor's rage, a senseless storm of cruel words and violence damaging everything — and everyone — in its path.
This evocative slideshow of flashbacks reveals a heartbreaking story of love gone terribly wrong." Goodreads

First, that cover is amazingly beautiful. It’s so simple, but I love the heart. I love how the broken shards form the heart. I just love it!
Second, the story itself is intriguing. It’s completely different from something I would read. That was the reason why I want to read this so badly, and I can’t wait until it comes out. It oozes out with something that is so real and happens often. I don’t see the reason not to read it! By only reading the summary it seems that it’ll be something with an impact. It'll leave its young readers thinking and unable to put this book down.
Can’t wait!

  3. This definately sounds different from other YA novels, but it sounds intriguing and original nevertheless. I've never read a YA novel that touched on this subject before, and it looks like a have-to-read. Great choice.

Take a look at my WoW.

  8. Very important storyline for teens, especially with all the tortured soul books that come out. It is not quite as romantic in real life.
